Willow Pointe Church Growth Groups

(Adult Women's Growth Group) — Meets at 9:00 AM on Sundays

We study a variety of subjects related to women's issues, but also general study of the Word. We just completed a study called "Women of the Word" by Jen Wilkins, which was an 8 week study on basic personal Bible study methods. We are starting a study entitled "The Power of Words" by Nancy Demoss Wolgemuth, which is a four week study about how our words can be life giving or destructive, and that either way there are consequences. A typical small group time starts with a sharing time, we take prayer requests, we do our main study, and then we close in prayer.

We are a spiritual growth group seeking God through prayer, studying the bible, and listening for Him to guide our paths to share His love for others. Currently we are in the book of Jeremiah, the Old Testament Prophet who answered the call to deliver an unpopular message to a sinful nation. Our study guide comes from Dr. Warren W. Wiersbe written "Be Series" called "Be Decisive". We all have choices including repenting to our Heavenly Father when we have sinned, but more importantly showing our renewing of our heart in our actions.

The Encouragers Growth Group exists to encourage group members through the difficulty of life in addition to being an encouragement to our church members and to those outside of our congregation.

College and Young Professionals Group — Meets at 9:00 AM on Sundays

Our group desires to build a community of young adults who are focused on growing together through the study of God's word, reading the writings of important Christian thinkers, and prayer. In addition to the Sunday morning meeting time, we plan other events to build relationships with each other and connect with other young adults in our social circles.
